Henry’s auto service

This project began as a simple apparel order and evolved into a full brand and merchandise solution. The client already had a logo but was dissatisfied with previous apparel orders due to poor garment quality and subpar decoration.

I consulted with the client to identify their functional needs and recommended higher-quality materials better suited for an automotive work environment. I oversaw the embroidery and screen-printing process to ensure previous quality issues were resolved and that the final product met professional standards.

In addition to employee uniforms, the client wanted to create a customer-facing T-shirt for retail sale—an uncommon challenge in the automotive repair space. Understanding that customers are unlikely to purchase merchandise without a strong visual appeal, I developed a manga-inspired, comic-style illustration designed to stand out and tell a story.

Drawing from Henry’s Auto’s slogan, “The People’s Tech,” I created a narrative-driven design that positioned the brand as approachable, reliable, and customer-focused. After several concept iterations, the final design was approved and produced.

The shirts sold faster than anticipated, leading to a second production run and establishing branded merchandise as a successful new revenue stream for the client.
